More production shots:

"In "Real to Reel," in which Ms. Maleczech appears memorably, Mr. Neumann offers a distaff version of the same genre: the female prison movies popular in the 1950's.

The play alternates between projected film sequences, in which a director (Mr. Neumann) meditates on the script of his new movie while driving to the set, and scenes using live performers who portray three actresses and a production crew awaiting the arrival of the director.

The actresses -- wonderfully played with gritty, B-movie glamour by Ms. Maleczech, Diane Grotke and Judith Elkan -- have identical red hair, pale skin and black prison uniforms and represent three generations of women. ...the play has an unsettling visual power.”
